Clay Pigeon Shooting at E.J Churchills

On Tuesday 25th June, we were thrilled to host a fantastic group of professionals from the AV industry for our annual Clay Pigeon Shooting Event at the award-winning E.J. Churchill Shooting Ground in Buckinghamshire. It was a chance for our valued customers and partners to take a well-earned break from the city and their screens — and enjoy a day of fun, competition, and camaraderie in the scenic English countryside.

A Day of Clay, Conversation, and Competition

Guests arrived bright and early to a warm welcome and breakfast. After registration, our teams were introduced to expert instructors who provided guidance during a morning of shooting practice and tuition.

Following a short mid-morning break back at the lodge, the competition began in earnest. Spirits were high as teams put their skills to the test — culminating in a lively “flurry shoot” before returning for celebratory drinks.

 

Lunch, Laughs & A Little Healthy Competition

After a full morning of shooting, guests returned to the lodge to relax and enjoy a delicious two-course BBQ lunch. The menu featured a selection of grilled favourites including Toulouse sausage, marinated rump steak, and spiced chicken thighs, served alongside fresh seasonal salads. A refreshing summer dessert of macerated strawberries with shortbread crumb and vanilla ice cream rounded off the meal perfectly.

With drinks flowing and conversations in full swing, we took the opportunity to celebrate the day’s top performers with a light-hearted prize-giving. Trophies were awarded for Best Team, Best Man, Best Woman, and — in good humour — the Worst Team.

 

Before wrapping up, Steven Worrell gave a short presentation, sharing exciting updates on Econocom’s growth — both in the UK and across Europe — and our expanding capabilities in delivering innovative, scalable AV and technology solutions.
